Job summary

New Energy Equity is seeking a Solar O&M Technician Level 3 to lead complex inspections, troubleshoot and repair solar and energy storage systems. You will mentor junior technicians and own site work with a defined development pathway toward Technician IV.

Requirements include 2–4 years in solar or related electrical field, an associate degree in electrical engineering or related field, OSHA NFPA70e certifications, and a valid driver’s license. Training and certifications are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2–4 years in solar or related electrical field.
• Education: Associate's degree in electrical engineering preferred.
• Certifications: OSHA 30-hour and NFPA 70e; FAA Part 107 (or drone proficiency).
• Technical: Read electrical schematics; diagnostic tools usage.
• Leadership: Lead and mentor junior technicians; strong communication.
• Requirements: Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive inspections of solar plants and develop maintenance programs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex system issues including grid integration.
• Create and maintain documentation of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Provide technical guidance to junior technicians and contribute to training materials.
• Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies.
