Job summary

Gridworks is seeking an O&M Field Technician in Albuquerque, NM to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on utility-scale solar PV facilities, troubleshoot equipment, and document work to keep systems safe and productive.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1+ year in electrical/solar fields, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of experience in an electrical, solar or related field role.
• Experience working with AC/DC electrical circuits.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing equipment problems.
• Self-starter who can work on their own with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on PV inverters, tracking systems, modules and related equipment.
• Conduct site inspections, including visual checks, torque tests, infrared thermography and other diagnostic tests.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical problems quickly to minimize downtime.
• Replace and install hardware, PV modules, inverters, monitoring equipment and other site components as needed.
• Respond to alarms from the monitoring/SCADA system and support outage restoration.
• Document all work performed and update/close work orders in CMMS.
