Job summary

Solar X is seeking a Solar Service Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and restore residential and commercial solar power systems. You will work directly with customers, project partners, and the Solar X operations team to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of solar assets.

The role requires strong solar and electrical experience, diagnostic/problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in the field.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in solar installation/service with strong electrical experience.
• Certifications like NABCEP PV, Enphase, SolarEdge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspections, and evaluations to maintain system performance.
• Diagnose and repair inverter/microinverter, faults, and wiring issues.
• Assist with system removal, reinstallation, testing, and recommissioning.
• Provide professional customer service and clear field communications.
• Maintain accurate service documentation with photos and test results.
• Support warranty claims and RMA processes.
