Job summary

ACT Power Services is hiring a Solar Master Technician to safely repair and maintain Commercial and Utility Scale Solar PV plants. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to maximize production while upholding safety and compliance standards.

The position requires a Master Electrician license, OSHA 10, a valid driver’s license, and travel as needed. Expect on-site work with extended hours, on-call shifts, and opportunities to advance within a growing renewable

Qualifications

• Master Electrician license is required.
• OSHA 10 certification is required.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Uphold a high level of safety standards in everything that you do.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance, service, troubleshooting and repair of solar photovoltaic facilities.
• Learn NEC code, electrical theory and industry best practices.
• DC and AC testing including polarity, open circuit voltage, grounding, insulation resistance and I-V tracing.
• Interpret schematics to understand system layouts and connections.
• Maintain schedule for routine maintenance, service, troubleshooting and repair of equipment at solar facilities.
• Maintain company property, tools, meters and stock.
• Provide maintenance and troubleshooting training to technicians and others as needed.
• Identify safety hazards and take action to remove or mitigate hazards.
