Job summary

ACT Power Services is seeking a Solar Master Technician to perform safe, productive maintenance and repairs on Commercial and Utility Scale Solar PV plants. You will handle preventative maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting to maximize production while upholding strict safety standards.

Responsibilities include servicing modules, strings, trackers and inverters, interpreting schematics, and maintaining detailed service reports. Travel and on-call hours are required as part of this role.

Qualifications

• Requires familiarity with electrical systems and components.
• Proficient with power tools for repair tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately.
• Proficient with MS Office suite.
• Willingness to travel and work on-call outside standard hours.

Responsibilities

• Uphold high safety standards in all tasks.
• Perform preventive maintenance, service, troubleshooting and repairs at solar PV facilities.
• Learn NEC code, electrical theory, and industry best practices.
• Conduct DC/AC testing including polarity, voltage, grounding, insulation tests and I-V tracing.
• Interpret schematics for system layouts and connections.
• Schedule routine maintenance and track service, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment.
• Maintain company property and service reports, safety paperwork and inventory.
• Provide maintenance and troubleshooting training as needed.
• Identify hazards and take action to mitigate risks.
