Job summary

Mynt Systems is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and commission PV, BESS, and EV charging systems across Central and Coastal California. You will perform inspections, live-wiring maintenance when needed, and assist on installations as required.

The role requires 2+ years in solar or energy storage, SolarEdge experience, and strong problem-solving with a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. On-site work in Santa Cruz area with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required; some college preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• 2+ years installing solar and/or energy storage systems or electrical troubleshooting.
• Experience with SolarEdge equipment or equivalent systems with micro-inverters.
• Experience with PDF editors, Google Docs and Sheets; basic computing skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair PV, BESS, and EV systems on field sites.
• Perform preventative maintenance and commissioning inspections.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and material usage.
• Assist with maintenance program development and inspection reports.
• Travel to remote sites (2–4 hours) and stay on location as needed.
