Job summary

QE Solar is a leading independent solar and battery storage O&M provider, delivering field services across a broad portfolio of PV and BESS assets. We seek a Solar Field Technician to support ongoing site inspections, maintenance projects, equipment testing, and compliance activities, with travel to regional sites as needed.

You will join a team trained in PV arrays, inverters, MV electrical work, and BESS systems, receiving coaching from Operations Leads and Solar Engineers to grow technical

Qualifications

• High School or Technical School Degree or equivalent.
• 0-2+ years of specialist, technical experience with solar projects or BESS.
• Experience with data acquisition systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair solar sites, assist field teams with real-time solutions and perform preventative maintenance on solar, BESS and related equipment.
• Ensure safe, compliant operations following safety policies and procedures (lock-out/tag-out, JHA, LDL testing).
• Prepare service tickets and reports for site visits and emergencies; communicate findings in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with technical leads, project managers and subcontractors to ensure timely resolution of activities and address safety/compliance concerns.
