Job summary

QE Solar is seeking a Solar Field Technician to provide ongoing field services across solar and BESS systems, focusing on performance optimization, troubleshooting, and compliance. You will participate in site inspections, maintenance projects, and testing, while advancing in PV, MV, and BESS disciplines.

Qualifications

• High School or Technical School degree or equivalent.
• 0-2+ years of specialist, technical experience with solar projects, BESS, or other renewable systems; experience with data acquisition systems.
• Experience with electrical systems and safety procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair system failures at solar sites and assist field teams with real-time solutions.
• Maintain safety by following company protocols, including lock-out/tag-out and NFPA 70E standards.
• Prepare service tickets and reports for site visits and emergencies; communicate findings to leads.
• Coordinate with project leads and subcontractors to ensure timely issue resolution and compliance.
