Job summary

SOLV Energy seeks a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) to perform field maintenance on solar equipment at a Snyder, TX site. The role emphasizes safety and requires basic electrical/mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work at remote sites under varied weather conditions.

The position involves hands-on service across multiple plants, basic testing, and documentation. On-call duties and travel up to 10% are possible, with a path to grow into more advanced solar operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent; vocational/technical training a plus.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Basic understanding of a solar installation/plant.
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
• Obtain NFPA 70e Safety Training certification and stay current.

Responsibilities

• Stresses safety as the top priority and enforces safe practices.
• Work safely under guidance, seeking help for unfamiliar tasks.
• Operate and care for company equipment and tooling.
• Service solar equipment across multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance with monitoring programs.
• Replace or repair solar parts under supervision.
• Respond on-call as directed by supervisor for emergency repairs.
• Prepare accurate documentation and reports of work performed.
• Collaborate with EPC management on process improvements.
• Uphold SOLV Energy's diversity and inclusion.
