Job summary

Pearce Renewables is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician I (O&M) to perform preventative and corrective maintenance at solar sites near San Jose, CA. You will handle documentation, troubleshooting of inverters, tracker systems, and substation equipment, and work safely in a dynamic field environment.

The role requires 1–2+ years in solar O&M, strong mechanical/electrical skills, and the ability to train others.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years' experience in Commercial/Industrial O&M on solar power plants.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of Solar Utility and Sub-Station equipment.
• Documentation including work orders, time logs, inventory control, and emergency schedules.
• Troubleshoot electrical components with digital meters and related tools.
• Test and troubleshoot installed solar equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Adhere to safety practices including LOTO and JHA.
• Work solo or in a group, and travel as needed up to 25%.
