Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) to begin as a contingent role with potential to become permanent. The position is full-time on a Cantil, CA jobsite, performing field maintenance and learning safe work practices in the solar industry.

Training and supervision will guide you through basic testing and repair tasks across multiple solar plants. Responsibilities include operating and caring for equipment, on-call support for emergency repairs, and documenting all

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; vocational/tech training a plus.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• NFPA 70e Safety Training certification required.
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Stress safety as the top priority and ensure adherence to safe practices.
• Operate and care for company property, equipment, and tooling.
• Service solar equipment in multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks under supervision.
• Respond on-call as directed to assist in emergency repairs.
• Prepare accurate documentation and reports of work performed.
