Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) for full‑time work in the United States. The role emphasizes safety-first work practices, field maintenance, and learning to service solar equipment across multiple sites. Location details will be discussed in the interview process.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
• Experience in mechanical/electrical environments through training or work.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out of energized parts/systems.
• Basic understanding of a solar installation/plant.
• Basic knowledge of testing equipment.
• Basic computer operation skills.
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Obtain NFPA 70e Safety Training certification.
• Remain current in safety and technical trainings.
• Effective English communication and organizational skills.
• Able to work at remote locations in extreme weather.
• On-call ability; weekends or after-hours.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and ensure compliance with safe practices.
• Work safely and seek guidance for unfamiliar tasks.
• Operate company equipment and tooling.
• Service solar equipment across multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting and maintenance under supervision.
• Replace or repair solar parts as directed.
• Respond to on-call emergencies as directed.
• Prepare documentation and reports of work performed.
• Assist in process improvements and coordinate with EPC management.
• Uphold SOLV Energy's diversity and inclusion.
