Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) to perform field maintenance at a designated U.S. site. This permanent, full-time position requires relocation as needed, with no relocation assistance provided.

Candidates will learn safe work practices, operate equipment, test and troubleshoot solar hardware, and contribute to reliability across multiple plants. Strong English communication and basic electrical/hydraulic knowledge are valued, along with willingness to travel up

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent; vocational training is a plus.
• Basic mechanical/electrical aptitude from training or prior work.
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Understanding of testing equipment and safety practices.
• Good verbal and written English communication; basic computer skills.
• NFPA 70e Safety Training certification required and kept current.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain solar equipment at multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks.
• Replace or repair solar parts under supervision.
• Respond to on-call requests for emergency repairs.
• Prepare accurate reports of work performed.
• Support safety programs and process improvements.
