Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) for a permanent, site-based role at one of our U.S. locations. The position requires relocation to a specific site with no relocation assistance or per diem provided.

You will learn to perform field maintenance while prioritizing safety and following solar industry practices. Responsibilities include servicing equipment, basic testing, troubleshooting, and coordinating with supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a mechanical/electrical environment.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to perform Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
• Knowledge of solar installation/plant basics.
• Demonstrated testing equipment knowledge.
• Strong English communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and follow safe work practices at all times.
• Work under supervision with guidance as needed.
• Operate and care for company equipment and tooling.
• Service solar equipment in multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
• Replace or repair solar parts under supervision.
• Occasionally travel on-call for emergency repairs.
• Document work accurately and complete reports.
