Job summary

RES – The Field Support Technician – Solar in Dulce, New Mexico, will operate and maintain utility-scale solar facilities. You’ll perform vegetation management, support field technicians and managers with maintenance and inventory, and handle site upkeep and basic custodial tasks to keep the project on track.

Ideal applicants have a high school diploma, at least one year in maintenance, and the ability to work remotely in varied weather.

Qualifications

• High school/GED General Education required.
• 1 year experience in a related maintenance position required.
• Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety- and quality-oriented attitude.
• Uses electrical tools, hand tools and machinery, safely and efficiently.
• Learns and uses SCADA and other software control systems.
• Works in remote field conditions under all weather conditions with limited supervision.
• Participates with JSA, method statements.
• Participates and assists with Log-Out, Tag-Out (LOTO) if needed.
• Interfaces with co-workers and customers/ownership in a professional manner.
• Follows company NERC compliance programs as required.
• Assists with tracking deliverables on site.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions including high temperatures.
• Domestic travel 5-15% required.
• Valid Drivers License required.

Responsibilities

• Support field technicians and managers with maintenance and inventory tasks.
• Assist with vegetation management and site upkeep.
• Operate a mower and use hand tools safely.
• Maintain site equipment and parts inventory; use CMMS for tracking.
• Assist PV Technicians with troubleshooting and repair of electrical/mechanical equipment when needed.
• Complete daily required paperwork and attend meetings as required.
