Job summary

Pearce Renewables seeks a Solar Field Service Technician (Operations & Maintenance) to perform hands-on maintenance at solar sites near Cantua Creek, CA. The role emphasizes safety, reliable operation, and proactive problem solving on solar arrays and related equipment.

Candidates should reside within ~50 miles of Cantua Creek and have experience with PV inverters, trackers, and sub-stations. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years’ experience in Commercial/Industrial O&M on solar plants preferred.
• Preventative maintenance on solar equipment preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting/installation skills.
• Experience with inverters, tracker systems or sub-stations equipment preferred.
• Ability to train/mentor laborers into Apprentices.
• High aptitude and strong work ethic required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of Solar Utility and Sub-Station equipment.
• Document work orders, time logs, inventory, and emergency schedules.
• Troubleshoot electrical components using meters and related tools.
• Test and troubleshoot installed solar equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Maintain strong safety standards with LOTO and JHA knowledge.
• Work both independently and in team environments.
• Operate and maintain a company vehicle per handbook and safety rules.
