Job summary

Pearce Renewables is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician I/II to operate and maintain solar power plants in the San Jose area. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on solar assets, ensure safety, and document activity in work orders and logs.

Candidates should have 1–2+ years in Commercial/Industrial O&M for solar, with inverter/tracker/sub-station experience, and live within ~50 miles of San Jose, CA. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years in Commercial/Industrial O&M on solar plants.
• Strong mechanical and electrical experience.
• Experience with inverters, tracker systems, or Sub-Stations Equipment.
• Residence within ~50 miles of San Jose, CA.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of solar utility equipment.
• Document work orders, time logs, inventory control, and safety schedules.
• Troubleshoot electrical components using meters and diagnostic tools.
• Test solar equipment to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Adhere to LOTO and JHA safety procedures; work solo or in teams.
