Job summary

ACT Power Services seeks a Solar Field Service Technician to support safe, productive on-site operations of solar PV facilities. The role covers preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on modules, trackers, and medium-voltage gear, with field-based work and opportunities to learn.

Candidates must have electrical qualifications, OSHA 10, and the ability to travel and work on-call. The position offers benefits and a path within ACT's Technician Track.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of relevant field experience in solar, electrical, or related technical trades.
• QEW sign-off or ability to obtain within onboarding period.
• OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and identify electrical components.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Uphold high safety standards in all tasks.
• Assist preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of solar facilities.
• Perform string-level troubleshooting, tracker inspections, and basic maintenance support.
• Log data and maintain reports, safety paperwork, and inventory.
• Coordinate with vendors to initiate warranty claims as needed.
