Job summary

Cypress Creek Energy is seeking a Field Service Technician (Level 3) to perform preventative maintenance on utility-scale solar PV systems and respond to corrective maintenance cases. The role requires working safely while onsite at projects, with daily travel to sites in the region and a home base in Conover, NC.

You will troubleshoot, test, and repair PV systems, maintain records, and support a fast-growing energy company focused on reliable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–4+ years PV maintenance experience.
• Experience with PV DC operations, AC medium voltage systems, network communications and monitoring.
• Experience with SCADA, DAS and UPS systems.
• Proficiency with testing equipment and electrical inspections.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site routine maintenance, service, troubleshooting and repair of solar photovoltaic facilities.
• Perform DC and AC testing including polarity, open circuit voltage and insulation resistance.
• Maintain vehicle, tools, meters and spare parts inventory.
• Create service reports and manage downtime/operability reports.
• Identify safety hazards and take appropriate corrective action.
• Respond on-call for emergencies as directed by supervisor.
