Job summary

Cypress Creek Energy seeks a Field Service Technician (Level 3) to perform preventative maintenance on solar PV facilities and respond to corrective maintenance needs. The role emphasizes safe practices as you troubleshoot, test, and repair PV systems in the field.

Ideal candidates have NABCEP certification and 3–4+ years of PV maintenance experience, with SCADA/DAS/UPS familiarity and strong problem-solving skills. Travel is extensive, with deployments across multiple Texas sites.

Qualifications

• NABCEP Certification or equivalent in PV installation.
• 3–4+ years of PV maintenance experience including DC/AC systems.
• Experience with SCADA, DAS, and UPS systems.
• Proficient use of industry testing equipment for PV systems.
• Ability to read electrical single-line and three-line diagrams.
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E and National Electrical Code basics.
• Willingness to travel extensively for project deployments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site preventive maintenance of solar PV facilities.
• Perform DC/AC testing: polarity, open circuit voltage, insulation resistance, I–V curves.
• Maintain vehicles, tools, meters, and truck stock.
• Create service reports and manage spare parts inventory.
• Identify hazards and implement safety controls.
• Prepare operability and downtime reports.
• Respond to on-call emergencies as directed by supervisor.
