Job summary

Cypress Creek Energy is seeking a Level 3 Field Service Technician to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on solar PV systems, troubleshoot and repair components, and ensure safety compliance while traveling to project sites nationwide. The role demands on-site field work and rapid response to outages.

Ideal candidates have NABCEP certification, 3–4+ years PV maintenance experience, and the ability to read electrical diagrams and operate SCADA/DAS/UPS systems.

Qualifications

• Must have NABCEP certification and be eligible to work in the US.
• 3–4+ years of PV maintenance experience including DC operations and MV AC systems.
• Experience with SCADA, DAS, and UPS monitoring systems.
• Proficient with testing tools: thermography, IV tracing, meggering, ground fault detection.
• Strong diagnosis skills across DC/AC PV infrastructure and network comms.
• Knowledge of NEC and standard design/construction practices.
• Ability to read electrical single-line and three-line diagrams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver's license and OSHA 10 certification.
• Willingness to travel up to 80%.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site routine maintenance, service, troubleshooting and repair of solar photovoltaic facilities.
• Perform DC and AC testing, including polarity, open circuit voltage, grounding continuity, communication, insulation resistance testing, and I‑V curve tracing.
• Maintain vehicle, tools, meters and truck stock.
• Create service reports and maintain spare parts inventory.
• Identify safety hazards and take appropriate action to remove or eliminate hazards.
• Create operability and major issue/downtime reports.
• Respond on‑call for emergencies as directed.
