Job summary

Sunrun seeks a Certified Hybrid Field Technician to support solar installation through site assessments and post-install inspections. You will collect data, evaluate roof and electrical conditions, and perform attic inspections while following intraday schedules across multiple job sites.

The role emphasizes hands-on work, problem-solving, and customer interaction. Safety, proper documentation, and professional conduct are essential. Travel between sites is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid electrical certification (Journeyman or higher) in good standing.
• PV design/installation experience a plus; one year field construction preferred.
• Comfortable working on roofs and ladders; able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Visit homes to collect measurements, photos, and data for solar design.
• Assess roof conditions and electrical service panels.
• Climb ladders, rooftops, and perform attic inspections.
• Submit survey data via mobile field tools.
• Perform post-installation inspections for AHJ or utility readiness.
• Verify installations match plans and safety standards.
• Collaborate with install teams to resolve inspection issues.
• Provide documentation to verify inspection readiness.
• Discuss system installations with AHJ and customers.
• Review readiness for inspection.
• Schedule inspections with AHJ and customers.
• Follow intraday schedules; schedule own work.
• Communicate access issues or delays clearly.
• Maintain tools and safety equipment.
• Represent the company professionally during customer interactions.
