Job summary

Sunrun is seeking a Certified Hybrid Field Technician to support both pre-install site assessments and post-install inspections across multiple job sites. You will collect measurements, photos, and structural/electrical data, evaluate roof and panel conditions, and ensure data accuracy for successful inspections.

This role involves lone‑worker field work, intraday scheduling, and collaboration with install teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid state electrical certification at Journeyman, Wireman, or higher.
• PV design/installation experience helpful, with ~1 year field construction preferred.
• Comfortable working on roofs and ladders.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
• Must be 21+, valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer homes to collect measurements and data for solar design.
• Assess roof conditions, electrical panels, and site features.
• Climb ladders and perform attic inspections as required.
• Submit survey data using mobile field tools in a timely, accurate manner.
• Perform post-install inspections to ensure readiness for AHJ/utility approval.
• Collaborate with teams to resolve inspection issues and ensure compliance.
• Schedule inspections and coordinate with AHJ/customers as needed.
• Maintain tools and safety equipment in proper working order.
