Job summary

IronRidge, part of Enstall Solar Group, seeks a Field Applications Engineer for the Eastern US with ~50% regional travel. You will support technical product applications, deliver PV design layouts, train customers and sales teams, and feed product feedback to Engineering.

Travel and rooftop work are core aspects. The role requires 3–5 years of related experience or a 4-year degree, Salesforce/Excel familiarity, and OSHA 10.

Qualifications

• Three to five years related experience and/or a bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university; or equivalent.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, procedures, and regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Comfort with lifting up to 50 lbs and working at heights (rooftops).
• Willingness to travel ~50% with 5–10 overnight trips per month.
• Familiarity with Salesforce and Excel; solar layout/design experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan territory technical sales visits, events, and trainings.
• Generate training reports for customer and sales engagements.
• Provide on-the-ground OJT training for new opportunities.
• Collect feedback on product and training content.
• Coordinate training with other solar manufacturers to generate demand.
• Develop curriculum for new products and create educational materials.
• Maintain records and report weekly product/market updates.
• Report on competitive landscape and market intelligence.
• Design PV layouts in IR and other software to support sales and end users.
• Document application support questions and calls.
• Provide feedback to Engineering for product development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
