Job summary

Blattner is seeking an Estimator to support competitive, technically sound proposals for utility-scale renewable energy projects in the United States. You will collaborate with Engineering, Integrated Supply Chain, Construction, and Project Management to develop electrical solutions through opportunity to award.

Responsibilities include reviewing RFPs, producing quantity takeoffs, coordinating with EORs and vendors, and supporting estimates for substations, underground cables, SCADA, protection,

Qualifications

• A four-year degree in Construction, Engineering or related field.
• Two or more years of related experience in the renewable construction industry (wind, solar, or battery storage) or four or more years in other non-renewable construction industries.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Up to 25% of travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews specifications and drawings to establish scope of work and critical tasks.
• Develops a plan for building and scheduling the project with a level one schedule.
• Issues RFPs to qualified vendors and subcontractors for bid evaluation.
• Calculates quantity take-offs, material and labor costs, and tracks historical data for estimates.
• Evaluates materials and services from qualified suppliers to ensure best value.
