Job summary

CORE Group Resources is hiring an Assistant Construction Superintendent for a solar EPC project in Illinois. Reporting to the Construction Site Superintendent, you will support field operations from site preparation through installation, testing, commissioning, and closeout, helping manage safety, quality, scheduling, crew coordination, and documentation.

This role requires 90-100% travel to job sites, with hotel, transportation, and overnight meal per diem covered.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of construction experience, including solar EPC field work.
• OSHA 30 or equivalent certification.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel 90–100% with overnight stays and work extended hours.
• Proficiency with Procore and common office software.
• Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and manufacturer instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors on active construction sites in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Put safety first in every decision and report hazards and incidents.
• Support compliance with safety requirements and project safety plans.
• Assist with JHA reviews and coordinate reviews between crews.
• Coordinate trench inspections and ensure proper site orientation.
• Verify dig tickets, utility markings, signage, and barriers.
• Support SWPPP inspections and documentation.
• Review drawings and route questions through the RFI process.
• Verify installation of foundations, racking, modules, and electrical systems.
