Job summary

SOLV Energy in Pekin, IL seeks an EPC Assistant Electrical Superintendent to lead electrical field operations on a utility-scale solar project. This on-site role requires travel and hands-on supervision of subcontractors, ensuring safety, quality and progress against CPM schedules.

You will assist the Electrical Superintendent, manage daily reports, coordinate materials, and help turnover to the Owner, while mentoring crew members and enforcing company safety standards across the site.

Qualifications

• Prefer 5 years’ field construction experience at supervisory level.
• Prefer 3 years’ experience in utility scale solar experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA laws, NFPA 70E, and NEC standards and codes.
• Knowledge of job scheduling, planning, expediting and cost control.
• Prefer 2 years’ utility scale solar commissioning experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical testing and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical projects to ensure timely completion.
• Enforce safety procedures and train teams.
• Coordinate constructability for electrical scope of solar projects.
• Review contracts, drawings, specs, schedules, submittals with teams.
• Support CPM scheduling and milestone adherence.
• Recruit and coordinate field construction crews and subcontractors.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with specs.
• Assist in start-up testing, commissioning, and turnover to Owner.
• Travel to support multiple project sites.
