Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to head utility-scale PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems design. The role can be based in Scottsdale, AZ or Bedminster, NJ, with primary duties spanning design, calculations, and construction support.

Travel up to 15% is required. You will mentor engineers, ensure design quality, and coordinate with procurement and field teams to meet project goals and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with electrical power systems experience
• Experience in construction, EPC projects, utility-scale PV solar, Energy Storage, or power systems engineering
• Applied knowledge of NEC, NESC, NFPA 70E and applicable industry standards
• Willingness to travel up to 15% to project sites or vendor facilities as required

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design development for PV and Energy Storage projects from preliminary design through IFC.
• Own the technical quality and completeness of electrical drawing packages, including drawings, studies, and calculations.
• Lead or review system loss analyses, grounding studies, arc flash assessments, ampacity calculations, and power systems studies.
• Provide technical leadership for engineered specifications, bills of material, major equipment selections, and vendor evaluations.
• Support construction, commissioning, FATs, RFIs, and field issue resolutions.
• Mentor Electrical Engineers and explain the rationale behind design decisions.
• Communicate technical risks, decisions, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
