Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking a Solar Electrical Lead to safely assist Electrical Journeymen with wiring, material handling, and coordinating crews on solar projects. The role requires attention to safety and ability to read plans and specifications.

You will lead electrical crews, ensure equipment is installed to code, and collaborate with crafts to maintain schedules and quality across the job site in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with relevant trade training.
• Two years of related experience in electrical field preferred.
• Ability to read plans and follow electrical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Pull DC and MV wire on project sites.
• Safely use hand and power tools after training.
• Measure, cut, bend wire and conduit; install wiring and fixtures.
• Lead crews, coordinate material flow and jobsite safety.
• Ensure electrical work complies with codes and standards.
• Study plans and orders to determine work sequence.
• Maintain organized work areas and communicate across trades.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
