Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Laborer Foreman to coordinate crews and supply materials for other crafts on construction projects. You will read blueprints, supervise laborers, enforce safety, and ensure schedules are met while meeting quality standards.

The role requires strong teamwork, hands-on leadership, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Union background preferred and valid driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years related experience preferred.
• Union-specific training required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience using power/non-powered hand tools and machinery.
• Strong teamwork orientation and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints to determine work procedures.
• Supervise laborers and coordinate activities.
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders.
• Enforce safety regulations.
• Establish and adjust work sequences to meet schedules.
• Study and analyze schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements.
• Analyze and resolve work problems.
• Maintain time records.
• Make cost estimates for contracts.
• Plan work and solve problems, may operate machinery.
• Provide direction to crew members.
• Work according to detailed instructions and procedures.
• Lead by example and coach the team.
• All other duties as assigned.
