Job summary

Moss is seeking a Solar Electrical Assistant Superintendent to coordinate and oversee large utility solar projects across multiple states. You will work with superintendents, contractors, and craft workers to ensure electrical work meets drawings and specifications, with a focus on safety and quality.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, at least 2 years’ experience with medium‑voltage equipment, and willingness to travel up to 100% to project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience with medium voltage equipment and cable installation for collection lines.
• Experience supporting large self-perform projects is preferred.
• Proficiency in installation, testing, acceptance, maintenance, and repair of medium voltage cables.
• Knowledge of electrical testing methods (Hi-pot, Megger, capacitance discharge, etc.).
• Working knowledge of electrical drawings, underground duct banks, and distribution system components.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel 100% with rotations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality installation of electrical portions of the project, including underground collections system.
• Support reviews of drawings, submittals, and feedback with the engineering team.
• Develop project schedules and look-ahead with the Electrical Superintendent.
• Provide resources and support to work teams and monitor safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Coach and mentor field personnel and supervise subcontracted work.
• Coordinate grid connection with the power distribution system.
