Job summary

Moss is seeking a Solar Electrical Assistant Superintendent to coordinate and supervise electrical work on large utility solar projects across multiple states. This exempt, full-time role requires lead oversight of crews, safety compliance, and collaboration with engineers and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and at least two years of MV experience, with willingness to travel 100% on a rotating schedule across the U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with medium voltage equipment and collection line construction.
  • Experience on large self-perform projects.
  • Proficiency with MV cables installation, testing, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of electrical drawings, duct banks, manholes, and SCADA in power.
  • Current driver's license and 100% travel with rotations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure high-quality electrical installations on the project.
  • Oversee drawing reviews, constructability, submittals with eng team.
  • Develop project schedules with Superintendents; 3-week look-ahead.
  • Provide resources and support to work teams.
  • Coach field personnel and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate power grid connections with utility/distribution.
  • Supervise installation, splicing, and termination of fiber optic cables.
  • Monitor safety, quality, and efficiency of subcontracted work.
  • Liaise between field engineers and contractors.
