Job summary

Simply Solar, based in Petaluma, CA, is expanding its service and maintenance team and seeks a Customer Success Manager to serve homeowners, coordinate with field technicians, and manage service cases from start to finish.

The role is customer-facing and office-based with a hybrid option. You will answer calls, diagnose issues, schedule site visits, and work with manufacturers on warranty claims while maintaining clear CRM records.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in the solar industry.
• Strong communication skills and an interest in helping customers, including when they are frustrated.
• Organized and able to manage multiple open cases at once.
• Interest in learning how solar systems work and how to troubleshoot them.
• Ability to navigate industry-specific terminology.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work successfully in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls and emails from customers about system performance, monitoring, utility bills, roof work, and other service needs.
• Diagnose common issues and resolve what can be handled remotely.
• Schedule field technicians when a site visit is needed and keep customers informed throughout the process.
• Work with manufacturers (Enphase, SolarEdge, Tesla, SMA) on warranty claims and replacement equipment.
• Document cases and communications in our CRM.
• Help coordinate the service crew’s schedule.
• Identify recurring issues and work with leadership to improve our processes.
