Job summary

CORE Group, Construction Superintendent role on solar construction sites in Champaign, IL, seeks a strong on-site leader focused on safety, quality, and efficiency. You will coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and Project Managers, plan daily tasks, and ensure work aligns with plans, schedules, and budgets.

You will review blueprints and specs, manage RFIs, and drive safety plans while guiding teams through complex installations and commissioning phases.

Qualifications

• Lead on-site teams and coordinate day-to-day field execution.
• Understand OSHA, MIOSHA, MDH, and DOT safety requirements.
• Coordinate SWPPP inspections and safety walks.
• Read construction documents and support RFIs.
• Track punch lists and ensure inspections are complete.

Responsibilities

• Safety compliance and risk mitigation on site. Maintain safety standards and ensure regulatory adherence.
• Quality control and technical oversight of blueprints, specs, and manufacturer data.
• Field leadership: manage crews, subcontractors, and plan day-to-day workflows.
• Scheduling and project coordination: plan equipment, staging, and deliveries with PMs and subs.
• Mentor and supervise field personnel, provide performance feedback and continuous improvement.
