Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking an Equipment Operator (Non-Driver) for our Big Island location. The role involves operating heavy equipment to support solar construction projects, while ensuring safety and efficiency on site.

Requirements include proven experience with multiple heavy equipment types, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to perform pre/post checks and basic maintenance. This position is on-site in Hawaii and supports project execution across sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or industrial setting.
• Ability to operate multiple types of heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working in various weather conditions.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, and forklifts to perform grading, trenching, material handling and site preparation.
• Adhere to safety protocols, company policies and OSHA regulations while operating equipment.
• Perform pre-operational and post-operational checks and report defects or malfunctions.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment as required.
• Load and unload materials, ensuring proper securing and handling.
• Assist with general labor tasks on site when not operating equipment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow project plans and specifications accurately.
