Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy invites applications for a Laborer to support our renewable energy projects on the Big Island. The role involves a variety of manual tasks, from trenching to material handling, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Candidates should be able to perform physically demanding work in diverse conditions, follow instructions in English, and comply with PPE and site policies. Prior construction experience is a plus, but not required.

Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking a dedicated and physically capable Laborer to join our team on the Big Island. This role is crucial for supporting our renewable energy projects through various essential manual tasks, requiring a strong work ethic and adherence to safety protocols.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform general labor duties such as digging trenches, moving materials, and clearing work areas.
• Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., electricians, carpenters, pipefitters) with tasks like carrying tools, holding equipment, and preparing work sites.
• Load and unload materials and equipment from trucks and storage areas.
• Operate small hand and power tools as instructed and trained.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including waste disposal and site cleanup.
• Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Follow directions from supervisors and lead personnel efficiently and accurately.
• Report any unsafe conditions or incidents immediately to a supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support project needs.

Job Qualifications

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly, bending, stooping, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
• Prior experience in construction, labor, or a similar physically demanding role is preferred but not required.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety regulations.
• Must be able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site on the Big Island (this is a non-driver position, so a personal vehicle is not required for work-related driving, but reliable transport to the site is essential).
