Job summary

Sunrun is seeking a Compliance Engineer to lead regulatory compliance, certification and product approval activities for solar products and systems. You will own the compliance strategy across the product lifecycle, ensuring UL, Intertek, ICC and regional programs are followed and documented.

In this role you will coordinate external labs and agencies, translate code changes into engineering action, and support Sales with regulatory documentation while driving on-time certification milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in product compliance, testing or certification.
• Experience with UL, Intertek or similar certification bodies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute certification strategies for new and existing products including UL, Intertek, ICC and regional compliance programs.
• Proactively monitor changes to codes, standards and certification requirements, translating new requirements into engineering actions.
• Integrate compliance planning into Product Development to ensure certification requirements are addressed early in the design process.
• Coordinate external testing laboratories, certification agencies and engineering consultants while managing certification schedules and technical documentation.
• Maintain approved module lists, certification records, engineering documentation and regulatory change management.
• Support Sales and Customer Care with compliance documentation, customer inquiries and technical product approvals.
