First Solar is seeking a Production Coater Technician I to support the early stages of module manufacturing. The role involves operating coating equipment, managing materials, and following safety procedures to produce high-quality photovoltaic modules.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED with preference for an associate degree or technical certificate and 2+ years of manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certificate preferred.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience recommended.
• Experience in warehousing, textiles, agriculture, or material inspection is acceptable.
• Internal candidates require 60 credits of internal training or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate coating equipment and oversee material flow for PV module production.
• Perform basic quality checks and monitor SPC data for process control.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and address intermediate alarms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document shift handovers.
• Provide on-the-job training to team members as needed.
• Maintain inventory levels and ensure proper waste disposal.
