Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs seeks a Pre-Construction Analyst to support early-stage development across multiple offices including San Francisco, Scottsdale, Denver and San Diego. You will collaborate with Development, Engineering and Procurement to review studies, feasibility, schedules, budgets, safety plans and contracts, ensuring readiness for Full Notice to Proceed.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in renewable energy construction or project management.
• 3–5 years in solar energy or battery projects.
• Experience with EPC/CM/Owner-Developer environments.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication.

Responsibilities

• Review designs, schedules, budgets, safety plans, and contracts with Construction Team to hand off at Full Notice to Proceed.
• Work across San Francisco, Scottsdale, Denver, or San Diego offices.
• Assess site feasibility, traffic, topography, environmental and safety considerations.
• Analyze schedules for RFP, EPC, and commissioning timelines; coordinate equipment deliveries.
• Evaluate construction risk, labor, permitting, and utility interconnection.
• Review project budgets including EPC costs and contingency.
• Assist in safety and quality plan review per standards.
• Negotiate EPC terms and contract exhibits.
• Track interconnection timelines and coordinate with High Voltage and Commissioning teams.
• Ensure compliance with labor agreements, apprenticeship requirements.
• Prepare pre-work agreements and manage monthly invoices.
• Communicate project status to leadership and stakeholders.
