Job summary

Clearway Energy Group is seeking a Pre-Construction Analyst to support Development, Engineering, and Procurement teams from multiple U.S. offices, including Scottsdale. You’ll review designs, schedules, budgets, and safety plans, and negotiate EPC terms.

3–5 years in renewable energy project work and a bachelor’s degree are preferred. Onsite with travel to multiple sites in the US; hybrid work arrangement. The role reports to the Pre-Construction Director and will coordinate with EPC,

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Renewable energy construction, engineering, or project management experience.
• 3-5 years of experience with Commercial or Utility Solar Energy or Battery projects.
• Experience with EPC Construction Contractors, CM Consulting Firms, or Owner/Developer.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
• Willingness to work onsite and travel.

Responsibilities

• Early Design and Site Feasibility: Review site/ designs for feasibility via desktop and site visits.
• Schedule Analysis and Development: Review/ input on project schedules and EPC equipment deliveries.
• Construction Risk: Identify site risks including access, safety, utilities, and environment.
• Project Budget Review: Input on EPC and construction costs and contingencies.
• Safety Planning and Review: Review EPC Site Safety Plans and safety terms.
• EPC Contract Term and Exhibit negotiation: Review terms on Scope, Deliverables, Quality, Milestones.
• Utility Interconnection Support: Track upgrade timelines and coordinate with EPC High Voltage.
• Commissioning Team coordination: Review terms around testing and commissioning.
• Prevailing Wage/Labor: Identify requirements for wage laws and apprenticeship programs.
• Pre-Work Agreement Budget Management: Review PWAs and invoices; manage liens.
• Day-to-Day: Manage multiple projects and communicate status daily.
• Stakeholder Communication: Update teams and leadership on capital spend.
