Job summary

Herzog Energy, Inc. is seeking an experienced Preconstruction/Design Engineer to oversee the preconstruction and design process for utility-scale solar and BESS projects across the United States.

As the Preconstruction/Design Manager, you will coordinate with clients and internal teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure constructible, compliant design deliverables from development through execution. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and travel readiness to support

Qualifications

• Requires 10+ years in construction, design-build, or preconstruction management with utility-scale solar or renewable energy.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and design tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preconstruction and design process from development through project execution.
• Collaborate with engineers, estimators, procurement, and construction personnel to develop constructible solar and BESS solutions.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and resources during preconstruction to support successful outcomes.
• Foster relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors and stakeholders to ensure effective communication.
