Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a Pre-Construction Analyst to collaborate with Development, Engineering, and Procurement on renewable energy projects in multiple US locations. You will review studies, schedules, budgets, safety and environmental plans, and EPC terms before handoff to construction leadership.

The role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and coordination skills, with onsite travel and hybrid work flexibility across San Francisco, Scottsdale, Denver, or San Diego offices.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with renewable energy construction, engineering, or project management.
• 3–5 years in commercial/utility solar or battery projects.

Responsibilities

• Review site and early designs for feasibility and efficiency.
• Analyze schedules for RFP, EPC durations, construction, and commissioning timelines.
• Evaluate site risks including access, safety, and environmental constraints.
• Review and input on project budgets and contingency costs.
• Review EPC site safety plans and contract safety terms.
• Negotiate EPC terms related to scope, deliverables, quality, and milestones.
• Track utility interconnection timelines and coordinate with EPC team.
• Coordinate commissioning terms and testing with construction.
• Identify requirements for project labor agreements and apprenticeship programs.
• Draft and approve pre-work agreements and monthly invoices.
