Job summary

The Plant Manager role oversees Utah Solar and Honeycomb BESS operations for Clearway Energy Group in Cedar City, UT. You will lead site safety, maintenance, and staff to ensure compliant, reliable performance of solar and storage assets.

Responsibilities include maintenance program management, budget ownership, supplier coordination, and ensuring high safety standards across the plant and BESS systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of experience in solar plant operations, or 7 years in instrumentation & controls.
• Qualified to perform all routine and emergency operations at an electric generation facility and HV Switchyard.
• Experience with operations financial management, forecasting and controls preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with SAP.

Responsibilities

• Manage the plant maintenance program emphasizing safety, planning and preventive/predictive maintenance.
• Ensure availability, meet contractual obligations, and manage the budget.
• Monitor and enforce safe work practices for PV/BESS operations and maintenance.
• Supervise site technicians; assist in hiring and conducting performance reviews.
• Monitor and report on maintenance efforts by manufacturers and third parties.
• Supervise troubleshooting and repairs of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Control spare parts inventories and maintenance supplies; reorder as needed.
• Inspect completed repairs and scheduled maintenance for quality Assurance.
• Maintain clear two-way communication with management and site staff.
