Job summary

Monrovia is seeking a dedicated individual to assist in preparing soil, compost, and ensuring roads in our nursery are maintained. The role involves following soil-type recipes, mixing compost, and operating heavy equipment as needed, with occasional canning line work.

Candidates should be able to work outdoors in varied weather, follow instructions, and have a valid driver's license. Teamwork and reliability are essential for this hands-on position at our Dayton, Oregon facility.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow instructions and ask questions for better understanding.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willing to work outside in different kinds of weather.
• Available for emergencies that may require working on weekends.
• Experience with forklifts and/or heavy equipment.
• Enjoy working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes for different soil type requirements.
• Follow recipes for mixing and utilizing compost.
• Perform inventory checks for soil and compost as part of the raw materials cycle count process.
• Utilize skip loader and other heavy equipment for soil mixing, movement of soil and compost, and spreading gravel to smooth roads as needed.
• Work on canning line as needed.
