Skyworks Solutions, Inc. offers an internship program designed for college students enrolled in engineering programs. Interns will gain real work experience, exposure to upper management, and opportunities for full-time roles as available.

SOI Design Engineering Internships focus on LNA and RF switches using SOI/CMOS, with HFSS simulations and lab data. Mentoring, lunch-and-learns, and team-based projects are provided.

Qualifikationen

• Pursuing MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with strong GPA.
• Experience with analog/RF circuit concepts and lab work.
• Familiarity with Cadence, ADS/AWR, and HFSS tools.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office for reporting and analysis.

Skyworks' Internship Program is designed for college students currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program. Skyworks offers real work experience, exposure to upper management, and the opportunity to pursue full time opportunities, as available.

Skyworks' SOI Design Engineering Internships are offered in our Advanced Cellular business group. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.

Responsibilities

• Contributingto the design of multiple functional blocks including LNA andRF Switches using SOI and CMOS
• Generatingand simulatingEM models in HFSS for silicon design integration and validation
• Meetingperformance requirements while also considering size, cost, footprint, and schedule
• Working as a member of a team to contribute design schematics, simulations, and real lab data
• Working with signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power meters to compare simulated data to real lab data

Required Experience and Skills

• Currently pursuing anMSor PhD in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Analog/RF circuit design coursework and/or experience
• Software exposure: Cadence, ADS orAWR, FEM or HFSS
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Self-Starter with good communication skills
• Effective organization skills for systematic planning and scheduling
• Strong writtenand verbal communication skillsto conveycomplex technical information
• Detail oriented to ensure design and delivery of high yielding products
• Ability to enjoy working in fast paced work environment

Desired Experience and Skills

• Exposure to RF measurement equipment such as spectrum analyzers and network analyzers preferred

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $29.00 - $49.00 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $23.00 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
