Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Test Engineering Intern to work on automated test software and fixture design across High Performance Analog, Advanced Cellular, and RF/Mixed-Signal groups. You will gain hands-on experience with test equipment, data analysis, and reporting.

The internship targets current BS/MS/PhD students in EE or CS with strong coursework in analog/RF and programming, offering mentoring and potential full-time opportunities. Pay ranges across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing BS, MS, PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science; GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Analog/RF circuit design coursework.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as VB.NET, C# or other object-oriented language.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Self-Starter with good communication skills.
• Effective organization skills for systematic planning and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Create automated test software using a language similar to C to control test equipment and execute test plans.
• Support RF fixture and/or probe card design activities including PCB design and layout, test socket design and interface cabling design.
• Measure product using test equipment like DC source/measure units, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators and digital pattern generators.
• Process, verify and analyze the measured data; produce clear concise presentations and reports.
• Document test system and software designs.
• Develop measurement automation using C++ and Microsoft C#.NET or NI LabVIEW along with custom tools.
• Develop product interface fixture to probe the product using Altium Designer and Keysight ADS.

Test Engineering Intern

Skyworks' Internship Program is designed for college students currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program. Skyworks offers real work experience, exposure to upper management, and the opportunity to pursue full-time opportunities, as available.

Skyworks' Test Engineering Internships are offered in our High Performance Analog, Advanced Cellular, and RF and Mixed-Signal Intelligence business groups. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.

Desired Experience and Skills

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $29.00 - $49.00 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $23.00 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
