Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Software - Test Engineer to join the team on site in San Diego, CA or Grand Forks, ND with a partial hybrid schedule. You will support software testing across the lifecycle, collaborating with engineers across disciplines.

The role requires a Security+ eligible clearance, strong coding and testing abilities, and effective documentation and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field and 2 years of related engineering experience; OR Master’s degree in STEM with entry level related engineering experience.
• Experience in integration and testing of software and hardware components in Unix and Windows environments.
• Experience with formal software life cycle development methodologies, requirements through test.

Responsibilities

• Perform software unit and integration test and test automation on the host environment.
• Work in development and lab environments and ensure proper integration and testing of components.
• Facilitate collaboration with software developers, system engineers, hardware engineers, and integration/test engineers to diagnose problems.
• Develop clear and concise detailed technical documentation.
• Submit detailed problem reports for errors found.
