Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Engineer Software – Test to join our team on site in San Diego, California or Grand Forks, North Dakota with a partial hybrid schedule. The role focuses on testing, integration, and documentation across the software lifecycle.

The candidate will perform unit and integration tests, work across development and lab environments, and collaborate with software, systems, and hardware engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in STEM with related engineering experience.
• Experience in integration and testing of software and hardware components in Unix and Windows environments.
• Experience with formal software life cycle development methodologies, requirements through test.
• Candidate must be able to obtain a Security+ certification within 6 months of employment.
• Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform software unit and integration test and test automation on the host environment.
• Work in development and lab environments; ensure integration and testing of components in complex system is happening in the appropriate environment.
• Perform integration and troubleshooting of software components across multiple networks interfacing with customer SMEs; document for future use.
• Facilitate collaboration with software developers, system engineers, hardware engineers, and integration/test engineers to diagnose root cause of problems.
• Develop clear and concise detailed technical documentation.
• Submit detailed problem reports for errors found.
