Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking for a Principal Software Engineer - Test to join our team on site in San Diego, CA or Grand Forks, ND with a partial hybrid schedule. You will analyze software requirements, design automated tests for embedded systems, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure robust software delivery.

The role requires a STEM degree and 3–5+ years of related experience, with strong OO languages (C/C++, Java, Python) and CI/CD tool experience. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of related engineering experience or higher.
• Experience with Agile Framework within the last 3 years.
• Experience with full SDLC and OO programming languages (C/C++, C#, Java, Python) within last 3 years.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub/GitLab/Jenkins) within last 3 years.
• Experience with testing frameworks (GoogleTest, ATF, etc.) within last 3 years.
• Experience with safety-critical or mission-critical embedded RTOS environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements allocated to software configuration items (CSCI).
• Design, develop, maintain and execute automated tests for embedded software.
• Collaborate with engineers to diagnose root causes during installation, integration, and testing.
• Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation for software tests and deployments.
