Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Software Engineer - User Experience Applications to join our Software Organization in San Diego, CA. The role requires working full-time on-site with no remote options and up to 10% travel.

The selected candidate will contribute to an Agile SDLC, develop Java/JEE SOA components, and collaborate across teams while pursuing Top Secret clearance. Competitive base salary and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 5 years of related engineering experience, OR a Master’s degree in STEM with 3 years.
• Experience with the full SW Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with Agile SW development, SW integration and testing.
• Experience with programming/scripting languages: Java, C, C++, Python.
• Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance (with recent background investigation).
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAP access via PAR as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Cloud & Application, Test Automation, DevSecOps in an Agile software environment.
• Participate in the software development cycle including prototype and GUI design, and delivery of build/test/release.
• Develop enterprise solutions for Java EE in an SOA environment.
• Work across the software lifecycle in a process-oriented development setting.
• Collaborate with team members across all levels on a regular basis.
